About the role :

Pompa Program is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of functions that contribute to the efficiency of the procurement processes at Pompa Program.
This role involves maintaining specifications on all packaging, labels, and products, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing the RFQ process
Responsibilities :
Procurement Processes :
- Own and manage the company procurement processes.
- Maintain up-to-date specifications on all packaging, labels, and products.
- Liaison with vendors to maintain strong relationships.
- Own the RFQ process with all types of vendors based on the company's needs.
- Track and prioritize RFQ bids.
Inventory and Order Management :
- Perform inventory controls and maintain high-quality standards for audits.
- Report any discrepancies and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
Operational Excellence :
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Meet and / or exceed quality performance metrics through consistent quality monitoring and employee feedback.
- Escalate issues / risks that impact quality or performance.
Compliance and Documentation :
Maintain and control documentation, including working instructions and SOPs.
Requirements :
- Previous experience with procurement and / or purchasing / buyer roles.
- Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing the bidding / RFQ process.
- Analytical and data-driven approach.
- Above-average computer skills and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with good organizational and time management skills.
Skills :
- Ability to communicate effectively within the company and with external vendors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
Compensation Range :
M-F Schedule, $55-65k salary
