Assistant Director of Nursing
Job Description
Works alongside the Director of Nursing promoting and restoring patients' health within the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, families and nursing staff; supervising assigned team members.
ADON Job Duties:
- Ability to multi-task and oversee nursing related functions with the facility on a daily basis
- Provide education and training to nursing staff
- Provide oversight and supervision of the clinical team
- Identifies and monitors patient care requirements .
- Establishes and promotes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
- Ensures and facilitate quality of care for our residents in collaboration with the clinical staff
- Work with key partners to establish, achieve and maintain positive clinical outcomes
- Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintain accountability over regulatory compliance and staffing
- Other Duties as needed or assigned
ADON Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Good Organizational Skills
- Knowledge of Skilled Care
- Knowledge of IDPH standards and regulations is required
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards and regulations is a plus
ADON Requirements:
- Current RN License
- Nurse Management experience is preferred
- Skilled/Long-Term Care experience is preferred
