What to Expect?
The Production Lead is responsible for meeting daily departmental production goals while maintaining on time delivery to the production schedule and ensuring quality in produced product. A key position in our production team, the Production Lead must be organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
On a daily basis our Production Lead:
Understands and communicates the production schedule and ensures department standards are met.
Performs quality checks; First article inspections and in-process check to ensure lines are producing to the Suncoast standard.
Train new employees in different department functions such as, basic floor processes, product flow and procedures, provide on-going training to the team as required.
Monitor incoming packaging and chemical materials so that the production station runs un-interrupted throughout the shift.
Maintains Suncoast 5S standards in the department.
Disposition segregated non-conforming material.
Ensures proper removal and disposal of chemical liners, supersacks, and other packaging remnants.
Documents lot codes in the department as needed.
Signs off on clean out and shut down procedures.
Any other duties, as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company policy on Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), housekeeping, material handling and operation standards.
Extremely well organized with an ability to prioritize work with a keen eye for detail.
Understanding of basic industrial math skills.
Proficient with MS Office suite and AS400 (J.D. Edwards).
Looks for and communicates opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ability to delegate with empathy and compassion toward other employees.
