Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience.
- Conduct product demos when necessary to engage customers and drive sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to upsell products confidently while providing product knowledge during demos.
- Experience supervising or training new staff is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
