What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work from Home Doing Laundry! position at Poplin?
Work from home as a Laundry Pro — start today!
- Do laundry orders from home
- Earn on average ~$40 per order
- Fully flexible — work when you want
What is the gig? (It really is this simple…)
- Customers (families, small businesses, senior citizens and more) place orders through the Poplin mobile app
- Laundry Pros (you!) are notified of orders via the Laundry Pro mobile app
- Accept and pick up customers' laundry
- Wash, dry and fold laundry to perfection
- Deliver stacks of clean laundry back to your customer
As an independent contractor you’re paid $.75 per pound of laundry — plus tips — paid out weekly.
Customers are ready for you!
We have Laundry Pro opportunities in your area because there are more customers than current Laundry Pros are able to serve. If you want to do laundry, there are customers in your area placing orders.
Set up for success
- Start by learning. You’ll have access to helpful videos, a 10-minute getting started guide and links to supplies for purchase.
- We’ll guide you through your first order — step-by-step with videos to watch along the way.
- If you’re nervous, we’ll even connect you with a Laundry Pro mentor to help guide you.
Other benefits
- We market everywhere to create new customers for you. But we also give you tools and best practices to create your own customers via Laundry Pro referrals.
- Average earnings per order is ~$40 with opportunities for double pay ($1.50 per pound) via Express orders (with faster turnaround times).
- Perfect for stay-at-home-parents, retirees or even people with full-time jobs who simply like doing laundry!
Potential Laundry Pros should consider their:
- Access to a washer and dryer (at home, laundromat, etc)
- Criminal background (background check prior to picking up first order)
- Ability to verify identity (required by financial institutions for payout processing)
- Attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Desire to provide great customer service
- Time management skills
Doesn’t compare
Being a Laundry Pro is much better than being a customer service representative, data entry specialist, receptionist, waiter, server, virtual assistant, data entry clerk, transcriber, office clerk, cashier, customer service rep, administrative, assistant, housekeeper, call center representative, or a support specialist.
Being a Laundry Pro independent contractor is rated higher than:
- Driving for Uber or Lyft
- Delivering for DoorDash, GrubHub or Amazon
- Shopping for Instacart or Shipt
