Job Summary:
Leading our café team as an active, positive role model in a player/coach capacity to provide our customers with a memorable experience every time they visit. Working collaboratively with the owners to ensure the Café team functions at their bests and the Café operates at its optimal level.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Player:
· Preparing and serving espresso drinks, sandwiches, soup, ice cream, along with the daily prep while providing the highest level of Customer Service.
As a Coach:
· Lead Café team through your example and guidance on food and beverage preparation adhering to the highest food safety standards
· Maintain an empowering, positive and absolutely no-drama work environment for entire team
· Actively anticipate and communicate needs for café supplies and for the daily prep processes as well as delegate where needed
· Lead Café training to ensure all team members deliver consistent food, beverage and ice cream portions as well as excellent customer service experience with every customer interaction every day, all day long.
· Work collaboratively with owners to ensure that staffing needs, product needs and Café sales targets are met.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 2-5 years of proven and successful team leader/supervisor/manager experience in a café/food service position
· Reliable, positive, energetic, motivated person, who can prioritize and take action in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on delivering the best customer service possible.
· Experienced barista
· A commitment to maintaining an empowering, team-oriented, no-drama work environment
· A valid Washington Food Worker & MAST certifications
· Able to work standing, walking, bending, moving up to 100% of the day
· Experience with retail service software (SQUARE preferably)
· Working weekends & Holidays is a must
