Compensation: Hourly
Summary
The primary purpose of this position is the coordination of programming CNC equipment to the internal customers at Porter Corp.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Quality/Cost/Delivery/Service and Technology
- Coordinate CNC nesting with Manufacturing and communicate daily changes with other departments
- Processes CNC programming and nesting
- Coordinating the schedule for programming with the shop floor personnel
- Review part prints and Methods of Manufacture for accuracy
- Coordinate any corrections or changes needed to job paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years minimum experience programming CNC machining equipment preferred or equivalent schooling
Travel
This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
- Possess a strong knowledge of manufacturing, scheduling, quality control and material control practices
- CNC programming background
- Knowledge of CAD programs
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong computer knowledge

- Timeliness of work completion
- Compliance with company policies
- Limit lost time and machine downtime
- Development and participation in scheduling systems that provide a smooth interface between disciplines
- Lead times to the internal customer from order to delivery
