What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Portland Promise Center?
This position provides children ages 3-5 with developmentally appropriate activities, provides a nurturing environment, and interacts with children, parents, staff members, and volunteers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years working with children preferred
Responsibilities:
- Create an environment where children feel safe and love coming to preschool.
- Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary
- Maintain classroom control, management, and sanitation
- Provide a regular routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence
- Maintaining the Center’s policies and procedures
- Attend ongoing training
- Active supervision of children
- Additional duties as needed or assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 22 per week
