Purpose:

Provides customers with product and service information to assist them in their remodeling or new construction projects. Recommends products and services to meet customer needs. Processes sales orders from beginning to end, making appropriate arrangements for delivery and installation. Conducts cashier transactions as necessary. Restocks and/or updates displays and exhibitors in the showroom. Obtains and works on relevant databases, organizing and implementing mailing programs.

Essential Duties:

• Assist customers in their remodeling, decoration and purchasing decisions.
• Promote and sell company products/services to existing and prospective customers in the showroom.
• Process sale orders and provide post-sale customer service.
• Prepare reports and mailings as necessary.

General Description:

• Take part in training and development programs to keep abreast of company and market information.
• Introduce, demonstrate, promote and sell existing and new products/services in the showroom.
• Help maintain, update and design showroom displays, exhibitors and merchandising programs.
• Work to meet or exceed sales objectives in terms of volume and margin.
• Participate in the preparation of sales budgets for the showroom as assigned.
• Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sale and delivery
• Coach junior showroom sales personnel and impart training as necessary.
• Schedule and visit customers to support, close or service showroom sales.
• Gather data on product/service tastes and trends exhibited by buyers in the showroom as required. 
• Receive and process cash instruments in settlement of showroom sales.
• Enter customers, sales orders and other information necessary to complete sales transactions.
• Prepare expense reports as necessary.
• Handle showroom incoming calls.
• Document and process customer service complaints, liaising with department and product managers as necessary
• Prepare sales and other reports and analysis as necessary.
• Monitor and analyze customer sales and margins.
• Manage overflow from other showroom personnel.
• Attend trade shows and maintain/update customer databases as needed.
• Assist customers in determining product/service needs/applications and provide assistance in design and inquiries.
• Manage product returns, deliveries and pick-ups with regards to sales concluded through the showroom.
• Handle showroom customer complaints and problems.
• Conduct proactive customer service and follow up on orders.
• Organize and carry out mailings and monitor showroom advertising campaigns for effectiveness.
• Prepare or cause to be prepared designs, drawings and other deliverables for customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

• 1-3 years' experience in sales.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and versatility to operate different software packages.
• Communication skills required, along with phone/visit etiquette and commitment to finding solutions
