Clinical IS Field Technology Specialist
The Clinical IS Field Technology Specialist will be responsible to travel to sites in need of assistance in support of all Clinical IS functions. Will diagnose and resolve IS issues with a high level of confidence and aptitude. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This position will require a minimum of 65% travel as needed, up to 80%. This is an exempt position.
IS Responsibilities

Reports directly to Sr Director of Clinical Solutions

Performs onsite hardware walkthroughs of new or acquired hospitals to determine the EHR equipment requirements

Creates EHR equipment allocation documentation, and coordinates with Clinical EHR team lead to submit required equipment orders for each new hospital facility

Aligning with the Network and Infrastructure Team, installs, configures and troubleshoots Network equipment and network connectivity software as required.

Configures and troubleshoots network printing on client computers.

Image capturing for computer deployments.

Constructs, and validates EHR training carts are in built and in place in preparation for EHR training

Manages EHR equipment deployment to each department for the overall success of the EHR implementations and go-lives.

Resolves all issues in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction with each interaction.

Escalates issues as necessary to other individuals or groups within the IS organization as appropriate.
Communication

Keeps Clinical Solutions team leaders or designee informed on the status of all assigned projects on a regular basis.

Maintains open and positive communication lines with the Clinical Solutions team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training: Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of education and experience. Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. A technology-oriented bachelor’s degree is desirable.
Experience: Required: Installation and troubleshooting – Environment standard Windows OS and standard software packages; minimum of three years desktop and Internet access support; MCSA and/or CNA, or four or more years’ experience as technical support person in network environment; HTML, Flash and other web technologies; commercial and proprietary company software. Desired: Deployment of infrastructure and devices used to support enterprise level Clinical solutions; MAC OS and Apple products; midlevel network administration knowledge; Familiarity with installs, configures and troubleshooting of Analog/Digital and VOIP phone systems helpful.
