Compensations of the Echocardiogram Technician:
· Salary: $34.33 -$40.97/hr.
· 10 days paid vacation per year
· 11 paid Federal holidays per year
· $4.41 per hr. Health & Welfare benefit contributes toward health insurance and short- and long-term disability, cash in lieu of.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Echocardiogram Technician:
· Perform echocardiograms (ultrasound examinations of the heart) using specialized equipment and techniques.
· Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
· Accurately position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain clear and comprehensive images of the heart and related structures.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the specific requirements of each examination and adapt the procedure accordingly.
· Assess and analyze echocardiographic images to identify abnormalities or anomalies, such as valve disorders, heart defects, and cardiac function issues.
· Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and image documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
· Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration.
· Assist with the implementation of quality control and quality assurance protocols to uphold imaging standards.
· Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with evolving technologies and industry best practices.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the storage and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide valuable insights into patient care plans and treatment options.
· Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
· Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications of the Echocardiogram Technician:
· Associate degree or higher in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Technology
· Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
· Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent credential.
· Cardiovascular Credentialing Internal (CCI)
· State licensure or certification as required by applicable regulations.
· Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
