Job Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products for our customers.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, to ensure meat quality.
- Stock, cut, wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
- Assist customers with special requests and answer questions about our meat products and services.
- Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Previous experience working with equipment like wrapping machines, and knives.
- Must be able to concentrate on the task at hand when working with large knives, grinders and other dangerous objects.
- Good hand-eye coordination is needed when handling knives and slippery pieces of meat. Some cuts require precision and a steady hand.
- Ability to work with customers to fulfill orders, answer questions and make recommendations for different cuts of meat.
- Ability to be stand for long periods of time.
