As a Table Games Operations Manager, you assist the Table Games Director and be responsible for the direction, administration, and coordination of the Table Games departments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
Manage all table gaming operations including monitoring and improving day-to-day operations, establish operational standards and goals for team members, and meet guest service goals.
Analyze Table Games progress towards stated goals and objective to include budgetary and strategic planning.
Execute programs which improve guest service, team building, team efficiency, and team member morale.
Held accountable to the highest degree for the accuracy and thoroughness of department records and reports.
Plan and change the casino floor to enhance revenue and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Negotiate with vendors to bring in new technology and games.
Implement, design, and monitor all Table Games training programs and seminars directed at developing and enhancing employee skills.
Maintain strong working knowledge of local gaming laws (Federal, State, etc.) and attendant regulations.
Develop a culture and environment that delivers the most exciting and enjoyable experience to our customers internally and externally.
Initiate and maintain communication with team members, management, and other departments to facilitate the flow of information throughout the property.
Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 8 years of progressively responsible, related, gaming experience in a department of similar size are required. A Bachelor's degree can take the place of 3 years of experience.
Three years of managerial experience is required.
Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
Strong influencing and relationship-management skills. Ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels and understand the interests of multiple stakeholders and how those interests relate to Potawatomi Hotel & Casino (PH&C) and its goals.
Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Thorough understanding of federal/state regulations related to Table Games and related operations.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member must be able to move freely throughout the property and operate a personal computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
