Position Summary:
The Director of E-commerce manages the brand websites and works with the digital marketing campaigns & content teams to maximize revenue, profit and increase customer satisfaction through a better shopping experience.
Working closely with Product Development, Inventory Planning, and Creative, the E-Commerce Director is responsible for driving the E-Commerce business through websites and marketplaces. They are tasked with all promotion planning, site store functionalities, including proper management and display of product assets, internal functioning of site tools, and creating a look and feel that matches brand style guidelines.
This person is accountable for and obsesses over Conversion Rate (CR) and Average Order Value (AOV). They are also responsible for building/managing the internal/external team of Merchandisers, Designers, Page Builders and Developers that are needed to accomplish all the requisite work related to CR and AOV.

This Role is Accountable For:
- Maximizing Conversion Rate (CR)
- Maximizing Average Order Value (AOV) - utilizing customer behavior and analytics to boost revenue, conversions and engagement.
- Site-wide SEO
- Product Merchandising
- Category management
- Working with product development & purchasing teams to build comprehensive customer experiences around each new product.
- Managing all online activities and utilizing customer behavior and analytics to boost revenue, conversions and engagement.
- Management of listings on third-party marketplaces.
- Day to day management of A/B testing;
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams, including Creative Director and Marketing Strategist.
- Analyzing weekly reporting of marketplaces, identifying actionable insights, and creating plans to improvise business based on data.
- Use (and teaching use of) varied SEO tools, including Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Google Search Console, & Market Muse
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for written content creation that maximizes organic traffic & functionality.
- Maximize content productivity from existing video & assign new video topics when required.
Background Skills:
An ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years significant SEO/SEM background & experience in tools like SEMrush, MarketMuse, & ScreamingFrog
- Experience in leading teams and holding direct reports accountable to goals
- Proven expertise in conversion rate optimization
- 5 years managing DTC e-Commerce platforms like Odoo, Shopify, or Netsuite.
- Basic coding knowledge to work with developers on site enhancements.

- Advanced analytics capabilities to support recommendations with data-driven findings, including advanced excel skills.
- Ability to present ideas and strategies to executive stakeholders.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines, self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.
Meetings: This person attends the Marketing L-10 meeting and leads the eComm L-10 meeting.
Reports to: Director of Marketing

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
