Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
License/Certification: None

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Good communication skills to interact with patients, staff, physicians and general public
Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Responsibilities:

Assists with clerical duties (i.e. scan paperwork, answer phone calls).
Reports any problems to supervisor
Assists technologists during injections.
Assists with patient flow and room turnaround. Transports and assists patient to and from exam rooms.
Informs patients as to the status of their exams (i.e. start time, delays etc). Assists patients with health questionnaire/consent forms and delivers to technologists.
Performs necessary tracking for daily productivity. Faxes preliminary radiology reports to appropriate clinicians.
Sets up exam rooms for procedures (i.e. injection supplies, clean linen, wipe down table and scanner surfaces)
Shows patients to dressing room; assists with patient changing, if needed. Assures that patients are provided with a locker to secure their valuables, and answers questions related to the exam.
Supports technologists and physicians as needed
