What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio/Video Technician position at Powers Commercial Home Technology?

Our Level II and above Technicians must have the ability to do all of the below and more:
- Rack building
- Able to assemble a rack
- Prioritize equipment locations within rack
- Knows signal flow through rack
- Able to create clean and organized wire forming
- Knows correct labeling scheme for racks
- Knows power management
- Knows heat management
- Network programming
- Sets up a basic network (Modem, Router, Switch) Spanning tree protocol
- Sets up PCHT passwords
- Sets up DHCP Ranges
- Sets up Static Range/reserved IP’s
- Sets up and installs WAP’s
- Sets up OVRC and usage
- Basic AV troubleshooting
- Understands audio signal flow
- Understands video signal flow
- Understands amps, audio and video baluns, AVR’s
- Able to use cable verifiers, testers, toners and volt ohm readers to troubleshoot
- Knows de-embedding and decoding audio
- AV equipment Programming
- Programs AV receivers
- Sets up IP Addresses for all products to be installed on the network
- Programs Sonos products
- Programs Apple TV
- Sets up cable boxes
- Control 4 Programming and installation
- Savant Programming and installation
- Projector installs
- Installs projector mounts and projectors
- Sets up projector
- Knows key stoning
- Installs screens
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
