Areas of Responsibility:
- Under supervision of Lead Charge Nurse, provide all aspects of basic personal care, medication administration, treatment procedures, as well as preventive, restorative and therapeutic techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical asepsis and sterile technique.
- Communicate effectively with aging and ill residents with variety of chronic illnesses, emotional disorders, or cognitive deficits.
- Adapt to changing priorities and needs, communicate effectively with visitors, supervisors, and other team members, and maintain confidentiality of resident condition and personal affairs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- RN licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
- Must have completed a state approved medication course.
- Minimum of one-year nursing experience in acute, or long term care preferred.
- Basic business computer knowledge / electronic charting preferred.
