The Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications from Virginia Certified Law Enforcement Officers for the position of full time School Resource Officer Deputy Sheriff. A high school degree or equivalent and a valid VA driver’s license are required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to pass a criminal background check, and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Annual starting salary is $51,838 and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefit package includes participation in the Virginia Retirement System, vacation and sick leave, group life insurance, and medical insurance.
