What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Scientist position at PPD?

PPD® Laboratories FSP is a unique partnership that allows our clients to leverage the experience of our PPD staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits/advantages of being a part of PPD.
• Review freezer and fridge shelf, discard items that are no longer needed
- Cold room organization and storage
- Refrigerator organization and storage.
- Wipe down and clean you team’s benchtop surface, and empty waste containers
- Organize and label your team’s bench supplies
- Clean salt, acid, base residues off your team’s equipment
- Sort spare parts in your area
- Organize personal buffer shelf, dispose of buffers you no longer need
- Check that your buffers and solutions have proper GHS labels
- Place your old columns in bin if no longer needed (bottom shelf where resins are stored 3rd floor bay Floor
- Inventory tracking/reordering of VWR materials
- SRM/SAP reordering of non-VWR materials
- Patchlab application (general PC software patch updates, one click restart)
- HPLC rinse cleaning ~1 hour a week to prevent salt buildup
- Labcoat collection / return for cleaning
- Labeling of equipment locations, materials labeling, GHS buffer labeling

Education and Experience:
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4 years).
- In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Proven ability in writing skills
