The HR Operations Associate is part of a global team, providing operational support to the HR Shared Services function. This role gathers, compiles and maintains HR-related information and prepares various reports and documents. It will focus on background checks, I-9 compliance, exit information, tier 1 inquiries to HR help desk and employee onboarding.
Provides general operational support for the Human Resources Shared Services function.
Processes various tasks including but not limited to, pre-boarding materials, job change approvals, verifications of employment, employee life cycle needs, unemployment claims, and other confidential forms and records.
Maintains personnel files, ensuring timely and accurate processing and filing of forms.
Assists with new employee orientation, ensuring that all presenters are notified of the schedule and that all materials are distributed to employees as appropriate.
Ensures new employees receive appropriate information about benefits, policies, etc. and ensures an exceptional employee experience.
Job Qualification
Education and Experience:
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Previous HR experience preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors
- Basic understanding of Human Resources programs, practices and regulations/legal requirements
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
