Reactor Operator

If you are selected to become a Reactor Operator, you will become a crucial part of our operations. This will allow you to immediately join a highly trained and skilled team of operators. You will be operating a chemical reactor that manufactures a quality product deliverable to our customers.

Starting pay is $24.75/ hour, After 18 months of employment, operators will make over $30.00 per hour with shift premiums.

Shifts: Days and Evening

Key Responsibilities

• Operating pumps, hoses, and valves to transfer liquid and powder chemicals into process vessels
• Use of scanners to track chemical additions to process vessels
• Document recording data to logs that is monitoring temperature, pressures, and material additions to process vessels
• Operate a fork truck, pallet jack and other material handling equipment to perform the job
• Perform in-process testing on resin samples such as viscosity and titrations
• Follow all established plant safety and environmental guidelines
• Wear all required personal protective equipment requirements (PPE) when handling chemicals.
• Understand and recognize abnormal situations or deviations from process instructions and communicate these to supervision and engineers.

Qualifications

• 3 years manufacturing experience required supervisory experience a plus

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass drug screening and background check
• Must pass computer-based aptitude test
• Ability to lift to 55 lbs independently
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Previous chemical experience is a plus
• Troubleshooting skills a plus
• Attention to detail is necessary
