What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dealer Sales Representative position at PPG Industries, Inc?

The Dealer Representative reporting to the Dealer Regional Sales Manager services existing customer accounts and finds opportunities for growth within the sales territory. Through relationship management with retail store personnel, along with key decision makers at the corporate level offices, you will provide beneficial sales support that will help them grow their business with PPG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate product recommendations (application, performance, training, and color).
  • Service existing customer accounts and find opportunities for growth within the sales territory.
  • Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
  • Use Customer Relationship Manager tool to handle accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.
  • Analyze territory performance and develop sales territory business plans.
  • Use initiative in handling customer problems, complaints and warranty issues to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize/conduct dealer/end-user education and product information seminars.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record as outlined by PPG policy in addition, ability to lift up to 80 lbs from time to time.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiating and presentation skills are required.
  • Coatings or building industry related knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Digital literacy: knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required and CRM software experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

This job posting may have multiple locations listed. A successful candidate may work remotely and not be offered to relocate.
