Job Posting for Financial Analyst, Policy & Internal Controls at PPG Industries
As a Financial Analyst Policy and Internal Control, you will provide technical accounting, PPG policy and procedure, and internal control mentorship for all PPG businesses while being a member of the Corporate Controllership - Policy and Internal Control group. In this position, you will interact with many members of the finance organization and other functions within PPG, providing a starting point to become a key contact for individuals! Are you skilled at clearly communicating and maintaining positive relationships across all levels of the organization?
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in determination of internal controls prioritization and annual testing programs.
- Serve as a key contact to provide interpretation of the company’s accounting policies and internal control requirements while maintaining approval authority matrix.
- Analyze and summarize key matters and accounting judgments of each business unit.
- Identify and drive improvements, including the creation of standard reports and metrics to drive operational improvements and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 2 years of proven experience in public accounting or external/internal audit, CPA preferred.
- Knowledge of internal controls and US SOX requirements with solid understanding of US GAAP highly sought after.
