What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Line Leader position at PPG Industries?
As a Production Team Lead, you will supervise and coordinate the day to day activities of team to ensure efficient functioning of all production practices. You will maintain a safe and effective working environment while training teams on policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily function of production associates
- Partner with manager to ensure efficient operations
- You will ensure that the work cell remains safe, clean, and ready to use at all times
- You will participate in project work related to product and process improvements for the site.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts, work any job, and work overtime as needed
- Comfortable with computer data entry
Qualifications
- Bilingual is highly desired but not required, as much of the workforce are Hispanic.
- Previous experience in a lead role, supervisor, etc (<2 years is fine)
- Basic computer literacy/skills
- Would be overseeing 10-15 associates in a high-paced environment
- Forklift experience is helpful, but not necessary
