SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Health Information Management (HIM) Technician is to perform a variety of administrative duties involving greeter/receptionist, patient medical record processing, and clerical tasks.

To qualify for this position, applicants must at least meet minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

:

1. High school diploma or GED
2. One year of medical records experience, customer service experience, or an appropriate level of health care knowledge (measured during the interview)
3. Must be available to work the assigned schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00A-4:30P and available as needed to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the position
4. Must possess the ability to operate general office equipment, including but not limited to: 10-key calculator, telephone, computer and operating systems, computer software programs (Microsoft Office programs), and fax/copier/scan machines
5. Must possess professional work ethics/morals, manner, and appearance
6. Must possess ability to communicate professionally; both orally and in writing
7. Must be dependable, punctual, accountable, and honest in order to meet the needs of the department and Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation
8. A record of satisfactory attendance and performance in all prior and current employment
