Job Purpose/Summary of Position: The Director Fundraising is responsible for organizing and implementing strategies to maintain and increase donation revenue. This is achieved through special events (such as galas, auctions, golf tournaments, trivia, bingo, raffles etc); direct mail, memorial giving, and business sponsorships.
Essential Job Functions/Duties:
● Working under minimal supervision and in collaboration with the Executive Director, set and achieve fundraising goals for special events, direct mail, memorial giving, sponsorships and other revenue streams related to private giving.
● Utilize the donor database to coordinate and execute communication plans focused on acknowledging and growing donations. This includes phone calls, meetings, letters and emails.
● Support and strengthen the organization’s brand by designing content for marketing emails, social media posts, direct mail, e-blasts, press releases, website messaging and public relations.
● Represent the organization’s goals and mission at community events such as Chamber
Coffees.
● Adhere to the highest ethical standards; demonstrate empathetic disposition; reflect optimistic and positive attitude, and convey sensitivity to needs of the donors
● When necessary manage and lead volunteer committees to ensure special event goals are met
● Coordinate and implement special events such as galas, auctions, golf tournaments, raffles, trivia nights etc.
● Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree, and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in non-profit fundraising. Driver’s License required.

● Solid computer skills and competency in G-Suite products

● Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals and meet deadlines
● High degree of mobility with the ability to occasionally lift 50lbs
Work Environment:
● Private Office, working with animals in a fast-paced environment.
● Schedule will vary – some evenings and weekends as required for events.
● Occasional exposure to high levels of noise.

Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000 annually with opportunities for raises and advancement based on performance and tenure.
Benefits: PTO accrues after 90-day probation period and increases with tenure, Simple IRA matched up to 3% after 90-day probation period
