Responsibilities
Responsible to maintain all of PrairieCare’s buildings and grounds. Performs facility maintenance duties that comply with the Department of Health, OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for completing work orders, preventative maintenance, and other duties assigned by the Facilities Director in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, trustworthiness, basic customer service skills, and telephone etiquette
- Knowledge of utilities, buildings, grounds, and basic construction practices
- Ability to exert self-control in volatile or hostile situations, such as when verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner
- Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions in emergencies or accident situations is mandatory
- Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision, and be able to perform repetitive work and maintain concentration
- Knowledge of the Department of Health, OSHA, Life Safety, CMS and The Joint Commission requirements is preferred
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools.
