Summary:
The Office Intern will be responsible for assisting the staff with general office Accounting, HR, and Purchasing activities including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing and general coordination. The goal of the internship is for the intern to become educated on the business operations within the paper mill and use the knowledge gained to help improve processes. You can expect a local champion(s) to provide mentorship and guidance throughout the internship.
Qualifications:
- Must be Enrolled in Accounting, Human Resources, or other business related degree
- High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter - especially as it relates to calling on resources outside the firm
- Resourcefulness in finding information and answers from within and outside the company without prompting or micromanagement; a “consummate” self-starter
- Respect to details; ability to execute accurately at a high level without excess supervision
- Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency
- Articulate communication skills – verbal, pictorial and numerical
- Excellent telephone etiquette, communication and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess a spirit of curiosity and willingness to learn and grow
- General computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
- Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
- Assist in managing the flow of paperwork
- Must learn to quickly analyze data
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records
- Assist in updating processes and procedures as needed
- Work on special projects as assigned to research, propose ideas and solutions and present to management
- Follow safe practices at all times
