Recycling Fiber Yard Supervisor

Position Summary: Responsible for operations in Fiber Yard, Reject Yard, and surrounding areas, this includes ensuring inventory control, safe work environment and quality standards are met daily.

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:

• Managing pad employees and scale operators.
• Mobile Equipment operators and operations.
• Safety which includes maintaining a neat and orderly area in the fiber yard.
• Work will Mill Safety to ensure that all safety training are completed as directed.
• Onboarding training of new employees which includes processes, procedures and equipment.
• Oversee and monitor training Fiber yard employees on all Fiber Yard and Reject Yard mobile equipment
• Manage reporting, documenting and repair of any damage that occurs in the Fiber Yard and surrounding areas
• Lead communication between the Mill, CL and Fiber Yard employees with daily communication emails, calls, boards and meetings
• Manage all housekeeping and ensure Mill expectations are met and executed.
• Manage all equipment repairs and PMs to ensure all documentation is kept.
• Perform and report daily inventory and month-end physical inventory count(s) as well as working closely with accounting and recycling groups for reporting accuracy.
• Work with Mill purchasing and outside vendors to obtain quotations for work to be performed, supplies to be ordered and services to be provided. Ensuring delivery and completion of work, supplies and services.
• Supervise and monitor inbound fiber quality to ensure Mill standards are met.
• Direct quality checks of fiber to meet Mill requirements.
• Control Reject yard volume and cleanliness.
• Manage reject removal.
• Monitor and plan activities around the daily inbound delivery schedules with the help of Mill Buyers forecasting.
• Work with Human Resources regarding employee development, recruiting, hiring, disciplinary and terminations.
• Timekeeping and overtime of direct reports.
• Coordinate vacation and leave coverage for direct reports.
• Communicate with Recycling logistics to ensure driver coverage.
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
• Follow all Safety guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences:

. High School diploma

. Five (5) years' experience in the industry

. Proficient in Google docs and Microsoft office (word, excel)

. Basic or better mathematics skill level

. Strong communication skill level

. Professional Attitude & conduct to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

. Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.

. High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline

. Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.

. Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.

. Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

. You will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.

. Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
