RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to properly operate and maintain all robots used in the dipping of D/S, S/C, and equiaxed shell molds.
- Interface with Process Engineering and Maintenance staff to identify and/or prevent shell building problems related to programming and mechanical equipment.
- Responsible for the performance of utility personnel in all phases of mold procurement up to and including setting of lines, preparation of mixes and maintaining robotic functions during times when operator need relief.
- Compliance to all SOP's and PEI's outlined for Department 620, including documents used for reporting scrap and mold identification.
- Responsible for communication of robot down time and process problems across the shifts.
- Licensed to operate a tow motor.
- Hand dip all molds, liner or wafer plates which do not require robot dipping.
- Record all work performed on daily time card.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all slurries (including levels of both slurry and sands) used in the shell building process via testing methods and subject SOP's.
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and in safe working condition by performing general housekeeping duties as instructed by Department Supervisor during shift.
- Maintain equipment used in shell building process (slurry tanks, pumps, and electric lift truck) so as to extend their useful life.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed in a "team oriented" atmosphere.
- Follow all Plant and Departmental safety rules.
- Cross-Train in Department 630 as Foundry Service Helper to back-fill for vacations/call-offs, etc.
- Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Dip Room or Robotics experience a definite plus.
- College Credits and or computer skills helpful.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity (when required).
Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
