Certified Medical Assistant
Carrollton, TX
Experience in a busy family practice setting desired. Must be team player that takes initiative and wants to take your skill set to the next level.
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
Seeking candidates that possess the following:
-Excellent verbal, spelling, and written communication skills
-Prepared, Proactive & Productive
-Ability to work effectively with staff and be part of a team
-Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
-Must be computer literate
-EMR/EHR experience preferably eClinical Works or Windows based practice management software a plus
Responsibilities include, and are NOT limited to the following:
-Rooming and performing vitals on patients.
-Extensive knowledge of administrating adult and pediatric injections.
-Medical terminology and pharmacological terminology.
-Ability to perform EKG, and Point of Care testing (Rapid covid-19, strep, flu, pregnancy, UA)
-Phlebotomy skills, collection of tissue or other laboratory specimens, logging the specimens, and preparing them for testing.
-Answering incoming patient phone calls for appointment triaging.
-Some knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM coding and commercial insurance guidelines.
-Arrange for patient testing and admission to the hospital when necessary.
-Prepare examination rooms, including restocking of supplies in treatment areas.
**Good Attendance and Punctuality a Must.**
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Certified Medical Assistant.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate with coworkers and patients in an effective manner.
-Demonstrated ability to use a computer and enter data in a medical management application.
-Bilingual a plus
