What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEO Specialist position at Precision Medicine Group?

The SEO Specialist in coordination with Marketing leaders for key business groups within PMG including Precision for Medicine and Precision Value & Health, performs search engine optimization analysis including keyword ranking, link-building, tagging, or indexing with the goal of improving the organization's SEO performance. Will be responsible for optimization to produce relevant search results and a positive user experience, growing site traffic, leading volume, and brand awareness, developing and executing SEO enhancements
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to
- Demonstrated understanding of the required methodologies and strategies to drive, impact and measure search marketing activities
- Implements strategic practices across technical SEO, on-page optimization, and conversion rate optimization
- Able to leverage and measure performance via SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console and other analytics tools and make refinements based on metrics
- Supports marketing leaders with SEO campaigns including but not limited to content optimization and technical optimization recommendations
- Manages, researches, updates and reports on keyword positioning
- Implements SEO modifications within website content management systems like WordPress and HubSpot, such as minor web development such as navigation changes, minor CSS changes, text edits, and addition of images based on SEO recommendations
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure SEO optimizations/campaign are aligned with corporate deliverables and strategy
- Conducts competitive analysis to find content gaps, identify where we are losing ground, and propose new experiments or content optimizations to explore
- Performs regular audits of meta information, URLs, internal linking, and other impactful SEO best practices
- Develops, assembles, and presents monthly and quarterly SEO reports
- Stay on top of the industry news and search algorithm changes
- Collaborates with Marketing strategists, editors and writers across the teams on content optimization and best practices
- Oversees contracted marketing vendors, as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Min 4 years of direct experience in SEO management and execution
- Experience with SEO technology, strategy, and website performance tools.
- Experience working with SEMrush and WordPress
- A keen interest in the evolution of the search landscape and best practices, and how to implement the latest ethical techniques
Other Required:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Team player contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Experience in the health care space – pharma and biotech preferred
