Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect suspect material and parts based on customer specifications. Inspections may occur lineside, offline or outside in the yard and can be visual or involve basic measuring tools.
- Make decisions to reject, approve, or verify material using identification placards and ensure proper packaging.
- Perform rework on material or parts as needed to meet customer requirements and ensure conformance.
- Accurately document inspection results by completing reports, logs, or tally sheets that summarize rework and defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (following the 5S principles) and adhere to written job instructions.
- Prioritize safety by following standard operating procedures and legal regulations.
- Stay informed by reviewing job-specific work instructions.
Requirements:
- Availability for up to 12-hour shifts, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) if requested.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Capability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted during the shift.
- Ability to work outside when needed.
