GENERAL SUMMARY
The Specialist, E-commerce will execute the strategy to produce a best-in-class E-commerce environment for the Preferred Travel Group brands globally, including Prefer Hotels & Resorts and the I Prefer Hotel Rewards loyalty program. This role will be responsible for managing the E-commerce experience on websites, mobile app, and microsites in conjunction with both in-house team and external agency partners.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the general supervision of the Director, E-commerce, and reporting directly to the Director, E-Commerce, the Specialist, E-commerce position will work closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Digital, Global IT, and Revenue Management. They shall liaise with additional internal departments throughout the organization, partners, and agencies as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain roadmaps for the company’s websites, assisting in the prioritization of updates and technical improvements.
- Assist in documentation and maintenance of processes for efficient knowledge sharing with PH&R member hotels.
- Maintain web content on multiple websites ensuring information is current.
- Act as the day-to-day primary support agent of the company’s member hotel extranet and development website, overseeing the uploading of new and existing content, troubleshooting issues, and providing performance reports.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders while maintaining best practices on the website.
- Manage customer service requests related to site usage, user experience, and other issues that may arise.
- Contribute to overall E-commerce and Digital Marketing projects and campaigns as needed.
- Monitor analytics and create reporting for internal departments on the performance of their respective websites or pages.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis managing campaign expectations.
- Assess the effectiveness of websites on an ongoing basis, reporting back to the business lead on opportunities to improve.
- Stay informed on the newest trends and technology advancements, partnering with internal teams and partner agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 Years’ experience in Digital Marketing
- Strong relationship, project, time management, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Outstanding attention to detail required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with CMS platforms (Drupal & Umbraco experience is a plus)
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isn’t working
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Google Analytics IQ and Google AdWords certifications are a plus
- Online travel industry experience preferred, but not required
