Full Job Description
Premier Bowling & Recreation is seeking a highly motivated management candidate who is ready to be part of a high volume, fast-paced, growing family entertainment center. The perfect candidate will be an outgoing, and energetic individual with a passion for guest service and a willingness to learn everything about our business.
- The General Manger is responsible for preparing budgets, forecasting, financial recording, and reporting.
Allocates staffing and scheduling budgets and oversees all payroll/non-payroll expense control. Follows the guidelines of Control Assessment and Cash Handling procedures. This is to include but not limited to the following:
- Reviewing Daily Sales
- Reviewing monthly Profit and Loss statement
- Proper handling of cash on hand: petty cash, cash drawers, bank deposits
- Processing of invoices
- Completing and reviewing all inventory reports
- Monitor, analyze, and assess lineage activity
- Researches and resolves discrepancies
- Plans, organizes, implements sales programs for the center. Plans and is responsible for achieving overall sales objectives. This is to include but is not limited to the following:
- Develops, implements, and coordinates efforts for marketing plans
- Prospects for outside sales and coordinate lane-to-lane efforts for inside center sales campaigns
- Develops and/or increases community relationships
- Supervises the work of all center employees. Ensure that all procedures, policies are thoroughly understood and implemented. Responsible for center safety and security. This is to include but is not limited to the following:
Works late nights and weekends to observe optimum lane turnover process, staff productivity, and enhanced customer service and awareness
- Assists in the direction and implementation of all center operations to increase revenue and lower costs
- Prepares and orders supplies, materials, parts, and other necessary items
- Ensures optimum conditions and maintenance of lanes and equipment, as well as, the exterior and interior of the facility.
- Ensures safety compliance
- Ensures center security system is used correctly
- Accomplish all personnel management activities necessary to ensure the center staff is hired, trained, scheduled, and provides quality customer service. This is to include but is not limited to the following:
- Interviews, selects, hire, and processes new employees for various hourly positions
- Prepares and conducts on-time employee appraisals and identifies related wage increases
- Develops all staff through training and ensures that required certifications are current (i.e., TIPS, SAR, etc.).
- Sets goals and objectives for center and staff
- Handles disciplinary actions up to and including terminations by partnering with HR
- Runs staff meetings
- Promote a positive image of the center by maintaining a fun, safe, clean environment for customers and employees. Provides friendly, courteous, polite, and helpful customer service. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Familiarize new bowlers with league/center activities, events, and rules
- Promptly and personally addressing all customer complaints
- Resolves customer complaints in a timely and professional matter
- Develops community relationships through memberships within local associations, Chamber of
Commerce, volunteer opportunities, etc.
- 5 years of restaurant and front-of-house management experience
- Industry-specific experience is highly desired
- Ability to take direction, be receptive to employee inquiries, and foster a team environment?
- Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal alcohol, health, safety, and sanitation laws
- Work varied hours/days, nights, weekends and holidays, weather conditions, as needed
- Must have the ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for an entire shift
- Must show up for all company required meetings and scheduled shifts on time
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must have bowled in a bowling league.
- Must have at least 5 years of bowling management experiences
