Dance Instructor

Job Summary

Premier Dance Studio has been steadily growing since 2006.

We offer part-time and substitute dance teaching positions for: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Mommy & Me and Pre-school aged Creative Movement classes. We are seeking additional dance instructors to add to our company beginning July 2022.

Responsibilities and Duties

Teaching dance classes ages 2 and up.

Teaching choreography for our December and June performances.

Managing the students: Taking Roll

Teach valued aspects of performing arts such as: poise, elegance, grace, confidence and self-control through the practical movements and techniques through dance lessons.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

-Experience teaching various genres of dance is a plus...Ballet being the most important.

-Experience with teaching children

-Pursuing degree in dance or dance experience equivalent.

-Extremely responsible, consistent and reliable

-Excellent communication skills with adults and children alike -Outgoing and fun personality

-Availability to work evenings

-Has own transportation and lives within 15 miles of Ventura County

-Always looking for individuals that are fantastic with the LITTLE ones (as young as 2/mommy & Me)

Specifically looking for Advanced Jazz, Contemporary & Ballet instructors

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

• Oxnard, CA 93030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Required)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dance Teaching: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• AED Certification, AA degree, drivers License (Preferred)
