What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Director position at Premier Family Medical?
Our health care clinic needs a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves and working with the team to achieve goals, meet quotas, eliminate security risks and increase patient satisfaction. This is an onsite position.
The IT Director manages the daily workload to ensure required service volume and quality levels are attained. Supervises a technical support team that respond to requests from customers by phone, e-mail, or chat. Being a IT Director identifies opportunities for operational improvements and implements solutions. Trains staff in products, features, standard policies, and best practices. In addition, the IT Director monitors queues, response times, and staff performance. Responds to escalated issues to develop and communicate solutions for complex or critical issues. Has a high level and up to date knowledge of products. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Reports directly to the CEO. Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the related area and 1 - 2 years of management experience. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
- Oversees all IT operations
- Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning
- Communicate clearly with administrative and health care staff as well as patients and vendors
- Oversee the operation of server systems
- Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
- Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades
- Identify and recommend new technology solutions that we can implement in our department
- Manage the clinic's help desk
- Attends Meetings as required.

- Experience with CISCO Meraki, Microsoft 365 & Fortinet
- Experience preferred with Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with SIP VIP phone systems, esp. Ring Central
- Assist with creating and adhering to Security Policies & Procedures
