Under the direction of Imaging Director, the Nurse Manager of Interventional Radiology is responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, strategic planning, staffing, and coordination for the assigned clinical areas within the IR section of the Imaging Medical Imaging Department. Responsible for all duties associated with the planning and progressive development and operational efficiencies of assigned area and supports department staffing plan. Responsible for coordinating all duties in to include internal and external relationships with an emphasis on quality, financial stewardship, personnel, service excellence, growth and a positive work environment. Is responsible for development and overseeing staffing, capital and operating budgets, and future planning for assigned areas. Responsible for coordinating and communicating all nursing and technical protocols, training, quality and procedures related to assigned areas and is a nursing liaison as needed. This position works collaboratively with other members of the Medical Imaging management team, nursing administration, anesthesia providers, physicians, hospital and system administration accountable for formulating and administering policies, plans, budgets, and programs areas of responsibility. This position also has an indirect reporting relationship to Department of Nursing and is an active participant in the division of nursing. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties. Participates on hospital and department committees and other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director.
