Med/Surg Premier System Float - RN - Nights and Days Available
The clinical nurse (staff resources) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The RN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The RN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The RN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others. The Med/Surg System-wide Float RN floats to designated units to subsidize staffing shortages at all PH Hospitals: Miami Valley Hospital, Miami Valley North Hospital, Atrium Medical Center, Upper Valley Medical Center, and Miami Valley Hospital South. The Med/Surg System-wide Float RN is required to maintain core competencies upon hire and annually.
Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months. ** RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Certification: Current CPR certification.
Experience: 6 months of recent medical surgical acuity experience within an in-patient acute care setting required
Skills/Other: Attend designated classes as discussed in yearly performance appraisal.

Pay: $1,084.00 - $2,784.00 per week
