Premier, Inc. seeks Senior Java Architects in Charlotte, NC.
Software modernization, converting legacy frameworks into cutting-edge state-of-the-art modern architecture through ruthless automation and refactoring. Adherence to the principles of agile and lean software development. Domain blueprint/framework ownership and the associated technical roadmap (group of technologies or products). Establishing guiding principles and design patterns to be used for a product or domain area. Evaluating new technology and making recommendations for adopting new technologies, licensed or open source. Recommending technology choices to Engineering Leadership for vetting and approval. Taking product/domain vision and translating that into the technical blueprint for the engineering team to build. Providing coaching, oversight for senior/lead software engineers. Being hands on with some coding/development as business need
dictates.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field, plus 7 years of experience. Requires 7 years of experience in all of the following: Load, stress, and performance scenario development and scripting automation; In depth analytical understanding of Java technologies; Infrastructure planning, application load, and performance testing; Performance tools such as SilkPerformer, LoadRunner, JMeter, or Grinder.
