JOB DESCRIPTION 

SUMMARY: 

  

The accounts payable and receivable clerk compiles and maintains account payable/receivable records. This

position will consist of entering data and reconciling items for billing. This role will also be a back-up for the front desk receptionist to relieve for daily breaks and vacations.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

   

· Responsible for weekly and monthly payments to vendors, including data entry and reconciliation

· W9 generation and distribution, and vendor maintenance

· Interaction with vendors in a professional manner regarding missing invoices and payment schedule

· Work with the sales team as needed and requested

· Operates standard office equipment, including: multi-line telephones, fax machine, photocopy machine, postage meter, and computer/printer

· Able to greet and engage customers and clients while working at the front desk

NON - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Filing accounting related material, and maintaining the organization of related financial information

· Distributes incoming faxes to appropriate parties

· Organizes and distributes mail

· Receives and signs for packages, and delivers to the appropriate person promptly

JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS REQUIRED:

   

· Excellent customer service skills 

· Must be dependable 

· Customer/client focused

· Experience in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access

· Works well with others, as well as the ability to use sound independent judgment

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  

· Time management

· Great problem-solving skills

· Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

  

2 years of experience in accounting, however, we are willing to train the right person!

DEPARTMENT: 900 CLASSIFICATIONS: Non-exempt 

Starting Salary Range: Depending on skills and experience. 

REPORTS TO: Kevin Johnson, Controller 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Onsite. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus.
