PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Client Consultant & Relationship Manager will be responsible for solving complex human resource needs and servicing clients. The CCRM will be responsible for the consultative selling of Stellaris Group's Human Resources Outsourcing, Consulting, and administrative support services to the small to medium-sized business market, serving as the primary point of contact for external clients within a designated assignment area which may be a market segment or geographic area. Servicing the HR needs of acquired clients requires that the CCRM be a trained HR professional. The CCRM also serves as a liaison to the office staff & management team regarding assigned clients, executes and coordinates outreach and external relations efforts, and performs special projects.

The Client Consultant & Relationship Manager must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-motivated, results-driven, and community-oriented. The ability to exercise sound judgment in various situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities is imperative. The CCRM will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

NETWORKING & SALES RESPONSIBILITIES (10%)

  • Consult with existing clients to explain how Stellaris Group can meet their HR needs
  • Complete required paperwork on time and finalize new client contracts
  • Travel throughout the market area may be required

CLIENT SERVICING / HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES (70%-75%)

  • Utilizing independent judgment and decision-making, this position is responsible for delivering customized Human Resource service solutions that positively impact our clients' businesses and result in retention and growth.
  • Proactively consult and regularly follow up or review with clients to develop, implement and monitor Human Resources performance management items associated with the service plans.
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource functions and ensure clients' policies, procedures and actions are in compliance.
  • Provides guidance and service, focusing on liability management, including performance measurement review, employee counseling, policy development, administration, and terminations.
  • Consults with internal management as needed.
  • Lead and coach clients through a planning and/or implementation process and implements programs to enhance productivity and reduce liability through improved communications and HR practices. These include but are not limited to handbooks, job descriptions, performance appraisal systems, employee counseling, hiring processes, terminations, job competencies, compensation planning, and salary surveys.
  • Partners with management to schedule and coordinate liability management training for client worksite employees.
  • Assists with formal presentations, including controversial topics or complex ideas, in a clear, concise, and logical sequence at a level appropriate to the audience.
  • Assists with managing the completion of necessary client HR Deliverables utilizing knowledge from various Human Resource disciplines to help identify their application and impact on the clients' business.
  • Collaborates with Director of Operations to design customized client reports and communicate directly with clients. As required, generates reports regularly for clients.
  • Provides administrative support as required.
  • Communicates endorses and models the Firm's vision.
  • Provides sound guidance in each interaction.
  • Manages each service interaction in a positive, professional manager.
  • Shares accountability in the customer relationship.
  • Builds, maintains, and promotes practical, highly functional relationships with all internal and external clients.
  • Exhibits good stewardship of monetary expenses.
  • Maintains necessary tracking mechanisms and makes recommendations for improving performance standards and measurements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  • Maintains Stellaris Group confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepares and forwards reports as requested by the Director of Operations or Managing Partner on the required date.
  • Provides historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions.
  • Completes projects by providing work assigned by the Director of Operations or Managing Partner to the team, following up on results.
  •  Keeps Director of Operations and Managing Partner fully apprised of all activities with assigned clients.

 

INTERNAL OPERATIONS (10%)

  • Manages all resources effectively.
  • Prepares and forwards reports as requested by the Director of Operations or Managing Partner on the required date.
  • Creates client documents according to policy and procedural processes.
  • Administers client programs.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT & LEADERSHIP (<5%)

  • Maintains an active certification in SHRM or HRCI or be in the process of certification.
  • Participates in a minimum of 20 clock hours of training annually.
  • Demonstrates personal leadership to all team members.
  • Informs the Director of Operations and Managing Partner of all significant issues as they arise.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong self-starter. Must be investigative by nature and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Two to four years minimum Human Resource generalist experience with an emphasis on employee relations preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • A track record of excellence.
  • The ability to aggressively prospect for new business.
  • A positive and consultative winning attitude.
  • A desire to further your independence.
  • Complete comprehension of Stellaris Group policies and procedures.
  • A firm grasp of Human Resources and employment best practices.
  • Sense of discretion.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and resolve issues independently.
  • Exceptional critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Expert writing, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling are required for letter composition and correspondence.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and fast learner who can change gears quickly and prioritize accordingly; complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other required computer systems.
