Job Title: Profiling Operator Day Shift
Schedule: 6am-4pm / Monday-Thursday
Pay:
$17-$19 per hour
Job Summary:
The Profiling operator has the responsibility of maintaining and correcting all aspects of a SPC flooring profile and packaging line by safely maintaining quality while maximizing production and reducing waste. This position takes direction from and reports directly to the Shift Supervisor.
Basic Duties and Task Statements:
Expectations:
*Work safely and ensure others in department are working safely
*Must be aware of and follow all safety policies and JSA’s, including personal protection equipment, lock-out/tag-out, housekeeping, MSDS, etc.
*Responsible to identify, report any work hazards, must eliminate hazards within ability.
*Responsible for run conditions of a plank profiling machine including the rip saw, long side/short side slot machines, padding lines and packaging line.
*Responsible to maintain all equipment by performing all required PM functions and reporting any equipment problems for repair.
*Responsible to assist in training of temps other techs working on the machine in product specifications, housekeeping standards and safety standards.
*Responsible for maintaining process in their area, make adjustments, set temperatures, and monitor the entire process.
*Troubleshoot quality and processing problems and make corrections accordingly
*Clean up, change over and setup area of the profile line including rip saw, loaders, auto stacker, etc..............
*Must be able to accurately measure machine performance, scrap, waste, and downtime.
*Must be able to use a razor knife frequently and in a safe manner.
*Complete production reports and all paperwork as assigned
*Good attendance and punctuality required
Essential Functions:
*Startup profile line work area. ( rip saw, long side/short side and etc.
*Monitor all machine process parameters.
*Adjust all machine process parameters ensuring in spec products.
*Set up, adjust, and maintain packaging area.
*Properly set roller for padding segment.
*Maintain and clean assigned profile line area.
*Line out all profiling processes in a timely manner with minimal waste.
*Perform all required PM procedures: change filters, maintain oil and grease levels, check all safety switches and interlocks.
*Make certain that scrap material does not accumulated around the machine.
*Follow all lock out/tag out procedures.
*Follow all approved safety procedures.
*Maintain housekeeping. Clean area around machine daily.
*Monitor and maintain part quality within agreed upon specifications for SPC flooring.
*Other tasks as identified by the shift supervisor.
Marginal Functions:
*Ensure line is clean, neat, and orderly
*Do maintenance tasks as required.
*Cross-train with other positions to cover during vacations, illnesses.
*Backup and assist maintenance as directed
*Miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor

Basic Competencies:
*A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
*A minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in manufacturing.

*Must demonstrate mechanical ability to work with equipment during training period.
*Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures
