Essential Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure that all communications are received and forwarded to appropriate personnel, the Receptionist will:
•Operate centralized telephone control panel; using a professional and friendly greeting
•Take and forward messages and other communications to all staff, ensuring messages taken are complete and accurate
•Receive and greet, assist and direct all visitors; maintaining a professional demeanor
To ensure the front desk is operating efficiently, generating a professional atmosphere and that all other assigned clerical duties are performed timely and proficiently the Receptionist:
•Files all student records
•Assists with Student Information Systems
•Maintains inventory of office and student supplies
•Stays current on Pressley Ridge policies and procedures while maintaining a proper work environment that meets state and federal regulations.
•Completes any other clerical duties as assigned by administration.
Essential Competencies
Procedures: Knowledge of office and business procedures.
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills: practices attentive and active listening; is aware of and uses body language effectively; able to write and speak clearly in a professional manner on a level appropriate for the intended recipient. Has the ability to deal with a diverse client base.
Time Management and Organizational Skills: Uses time efficiently and plans well; concentrates effort on important priorities while attending to a broad range of unrelated activities. Excellent Organizational skills.

Essential Qualifications
1.Education/Credentials/Licensure:
a.High School diploma or GED.
b.Associates degree is preferred.
2.Experience: At least one year office experience preferred.
3.Clearances: State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation
Working Conditions
1.Physical Demands. This position requires a low to moderate level of physical activity. Sitting for long periods of time. Employee must meet minimum requirements for Hearing, Speech and Vision. Hearing; not applicable for the School for the Deaf.2.Environmental. School & Community; Office3.Working Hours. As assigned or agreed upon by the Program Director.
