BACKGROUND
Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc. is a for profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of low-income, underserved, and homeless populations living with chronic mental illness throughout the Washington DC area. Our services are designed to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the most vulnerable consumers of our community.
This population has been underserved by the larger healthcare industry for too long. Systemic impoverishment and a lack of access to high- quality healthcare, safe and secure housing, safe places to recuperate, healthy food, meaningful employment opportunities, and behavioral and mental healthcare services have placed roadblocks in the paths of underserved population in our community.
This position exists to create a pathway in expanding our current behavioral health services to other jurisdictions to address the unmet needs of this population. Through this service expansion, Prestige will continue to meet its objective of restoring hope back to the community and empowering the underserved population to be self-sufficient and self-reliant.
The Communication & public relations manager will oversee communication & public relations and public-facing marketing strategies, nurture, and leverage relationships with existing and potential community partners, and grow and maintain stellar brand awareness
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- You will coordinate and propose Communication & public relations objectives
- You will develop a marketing communication plan
- You will oversee, create and manage company digital footprint and online images
- You will manage media inquiries and schedule interviews
- You will process, monitor, and communicate PR reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- You will stay on top of industry trends
- You may be required to perform other duties assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous healthcare, technology, or data management exposure preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic, technical environment
- Exceptional attention to detail along with rational and logical decision-making
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and relational skills, with the ability to articulate technical and non-technical information to various audiences
- Content management system (CMS) knowledge

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job varies from a professional office environment to field/community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
