JOB SUMMARY
Translates business strategy into work programs, and processes for an assigned plant; servicing a diverse group of customers. May guide lower-level positions while gaining extensive knowledge, and skills through education, and experience to manage a customer relationship. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad requiring originality, and ingenuity with minimal supervision or review. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems. Pushes lessons learned, and a systems approach across all assigned plant. Continuously drives overall profitability and growth of the business through efforts aligned with Pretiums strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manages critical customer relationships (e.g., new product introduction, product line, transferring business to another Pretium site, order fulfillment, materials management, etc.) through direct interaction with customers & internal Operating Units
· Ensures standard practices are applied to all Customer Communication from the Operating unit
· Supports preparation of materials for ERF responses.
· Prepares commercial claims (e.g. excess and obsolete materials).
· Manages payment disputes; liaisons between Corp collections and commercial teams, and plant CSR’s
· Contributes to the forecast & variance process in Company’s financial system.
· Leads day to day business needs in the following areas:
Develops and oversees materials and production planning
Drives compliance across assigned site for full ERP / MRP utilization
Builds maintains systems to control accuracy of inventories across ERP platforms
Daily/weekly reporting and review meetings to gauge and predict sales and Raw, FG inventory position in assigned plant
Directs and assist in plant-based purchasing activities. Ensures compliance with Corp policy. Develops and implements strategies to drive ongoing cost control and improvement.
· Supports Monthly Business Review process.
· Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: General Manager / VP Operations
· Job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management). Job title example(s) of employees directly or indirectly supervised: Customer Service Managers, Specialist’s, Representatives, Warehouse Supervisor / Manager, Inventory Control, Purchasing Coordinator / Manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Displays potential for developing leadership skills with the ability to move into a higher-level role
· Solid project management skills.
· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
· Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable the company’s business goals and objectives with the ability to devise and implement a strategy to achieve targets.
· Strong financial and analytical ability.
· Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
· Strong communication skills, both directions in Hierarchy
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills required
· Fluent on typical ERP platforms, SAP, Oracle, IQMS, etc.…
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Degree is not required but can supplement the practical experience requirements
· 5 to 10 years’ experience in a Customer Service role or Materials Management Role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrated record of advancement in previous employment opportunities
