SUMMARY

Manage, plan, coordinate and direct quality assurance programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finish product.
  • Formulate and maintain quality objectives coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Direct inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, equipment and products.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as data collection systems to measure established perimeters, data collection records, progress reports etc. in order to keep management informed of status of work activities.
  • Analyze and resolve non-conformance issues and customer complaints.
  • Communicate with customers about any non-conformance or complaint.
  • Prepare reports for management meetings.
  • Attend meetings to review and address quality issues, insure proper action and resolution.
  • Preform all tooling validations.
  • Make customer visits as needed.
  • Participate in all quality and food safety related audits “ASI”, ISO 9001.
  • Maintain and operate AVID vision system equipment.
  • Participate in all safety training activities and committee meetings when needed.
  • Oversee bottle regrind activities and plant sanitation.
  • Additional related duties or special projects as assigned.

Marginal Functions:

  • Perform start up evaluation (after set 24 hrs) to be sure all dimensions/specifications are acceptable.
  • Gather bottle weights and create over/under weights graph.
  • Schedule monthly calibration – scales, gauges, calipers, megamites; secure new or arrange for repairs as needed.
  • Gather monthly data on held ware.
  • Attend meetings for Quality Manager when on vacation.

Supervisory Functions:

Assign, review, and check work of Quality Technicians, providing on-the-job training as needed; eliminate ordinary work difficulties; coordinate employee attendance or work area coverage; provide input to the hiring, evaluation and discipline processes.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Requires a broad knowledge of Quality Assurance programs and management principles (including Supervision) equivalent to a 4-year degree.

Experience: Requires a minimum of 5-years’ experience in quality assurance

Requirements:

· Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers.

· Positive attitude.

· Knowledge of workplace safety programs.

· Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work requirements.

· Overtime as required.

· Strong Math & technical skills.

· Comprehension of food safety regulations-HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)

· Enforcing workplace rules and requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,334.00 - $70,000.00 per year

  • Cleveland, OH 44135: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
