This position will report directly to the Food
Safety & Quality Manager and is
responsible for cleaning all areas of the plant by sweeping, mopping,
scrubbing, vacuuming, foam cleaning and empty trash according to the facilities
master cleaning and sanitation schedule or as needed.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Inventory
and stocking of supply rooms as needed.
·
Fill
spray bottles and foamers using porportioners with cleaning chemicals as
needed.
·
Ability
to operate hand jacks, man lift and boom.
·
Ability
to operate floor scrubber and other cleaning equipment as required.
·
Responsible
for periodic deep cleaning of facilities as outlined by 3rd party
audit requirements and as instructed by the Food Safety & Quality Manager.
·
Understand
and maintain the companies 5 S programs.
·
Ability
to understand Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Hazardous Materials Identification
System (HMIS), and the Globally Harmonized System of
Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)
for all cleaning chemicals used.
·
Ability
to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
·
Ability
to lift 50 pounds.
·
All other duties
as assigned.
·
Be able follow
work instructions found in the companies sanitation standard operating manual.
IN THE EVENT OF AN ABSENCE:
Another
trained employee will cover the vacancy until the absent employee returns to
work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
