Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Louisville, KY. This is a full-time contract of 3 months with high possibilities of extension or conversion to permanent and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Position: Phlebotomist
Duration: 3 months with possibilities of extension
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, is required.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
