Milling Machine Operator 2nd Shift - Arden - Up to $20
PrideStaff is recruiting for a Milling Machine Operator for 2nd Shift - for a manufacturing company located in Arden .
Duties and Responsibilities :
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;
interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Able to do offset, compensations, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Maintains specifications by observing milling operations; taking measurements;
detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation.
- A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze.
- Confidence to approach supervisor with suggestions to changes to processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience in a related field preferred
- High School or GED preferred
- The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and climb or balance.
